2025 marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of world cinema, the 120th anniversary of Chinese cinema, and the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF). This year’s BJIFF will host hundreds of events spanning diverse formats and themes, driving creativity, nurturing outstanding works, and empowering the industry’s transformation, preserving cinematic culture through a retrospective of light and shadow, and stimulating the high-quality development of the film market.
This year’s BJIFF (April 19th to 22nd) is themed around “Exhibition, Promotion, Transaction, and Exchange” within the global film industry chain. The market will feature project pitching, industry dialogues, special events, and market screenings, fully integrating high-quality resources from the domestic and international film industry.
Versace takes an active role in the Beijing Market’s Pitch Training Camp, giving young talent the opportunity to participate in professional training led by a panel of mentors. This year, the camp has expanded its recruitment across the Chinese-speaking world, inviting emerging talents in production, directing, art direction, and cinematography. Participants will co-create original short films on contemporary themes, amplifying fresh voices and uncovering rising creators. Led by an expert mentor panel, the camp offers full-cycle creative guidance. With comprehensive support from the organizing committee, including development funding and production resources, four exceptional short films will be incubated and premiered during the festival. In this arena where industry visionaries recognize and uplift new talent, dreamers are given a stage and a headwind toward the future.
Through its participation in the Pitch Training Camp, Versace continues its support for creativity in the visual arts, with particular encouragement of new generation talent.
Verace’s support of BJIFF will come to a showstopping close at the Beijing Film Night dinner (April 20th) which will combine Versace’s passion for nurturing creative talent with its visual spectacle and glamor. The exclusive dinner will bring together high-profile guests, including the final panel judges of the Creative Pitch, Chief Producers, and judges of the Tiantan Award.
